Good Saturday morning! I actually caught the train this morning dropping lumber for our neighbor @alliancelumber. Some people think we actually own this @unionpacific train. In fact I have received calls to me personally and the farm asking if we could schedule the train to drop at different times, mainly not during rush hour because it slows traffic on Rittenhouse. Well, here is the rest of the story (#akapaulharvey.) We dont own the #unionpacific (but we have a small version (complete with the yellow engine) that you can ride on the farm. In 1962 however, Ray Schnepf built this railroad spur on the farm so we could transport our produce across the country. He named the #railspur R & T Shortline. And he created a motto: the R&T Shortline may not be the longest railroad, but its just as wide. Today its used exclusively for lumber delivery. I look at the bright side, the more it stops, the better the economy! So the next time you are waiting in the long line, enjoy, relax, tell your kids that the train unloading here used to take our vegetables all the way back to New York! Have an amazing day!
