Good Sunday morning, Hopkins County area......a cool 46 degrees at my house this morning with clouds and reports of fog in places, it seems very cool, when wed become accustomed to the warm weather last week, but were entering a period of more seasonal weather, as we experience the full moon......expect a cloudy Sunday and an afternoon high of 57 degrees.....then tonights forecast calls for clouds early in the night and then a clearing and a nighttime low of 39 degrees!.....Folks, its December, we should expect cooler weather!.......Today marks the Anniversary of the Bombing of Pearl Harbor.....a day of infamy in our Nations history.....remember those who lost their lives in protecting our freedoms on that day and throughout WWII and subsequent wars!.....Were truly blessed by the sacrifices that have been made by those who protect our freedoms!......A busy day on Saturday of working the hundreds of pictures that I took at Friday night activities associated with the Christmas Parade and all the other activities, a little bit of basketball, a Christmas party, and then back to town for this years Northeast Texas Choral Societys beautiful presentation of Once Upon a Christmas, where I captured a number of photographs, as well, that Ill share with you today!.....And among it all, I had computer problems and am operating without one of my computers.....had to have a new hard drive installed....so nothing seems right as Im working.....isnt it amazing how quickly we become creatures of habit!......This morning I was drawn to the Book of James, chapter 4, verse 7......Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you........God is our refuge....if well but draw near to Him, we can resist the devil and his many, many temptations......but I fear that so many times, Ive been lulled by the cares of this world and many, many times fail to even recognize the attempts and temptations of the devil....we become so accustom to the things that are happening around us, that we just assume they are the things that should be happening.....thats why were instructed to draw near to God....the more time we spend in study of Gods word and focusing our lives on His message and in prayer, we realize just how far weve been taken away from His plan!....On this day created for us by God, draw near to Him, worship Him, and flee from the devil and his many deceiving ways, and be blessed!
