Good Wednesday afternoon and welcome to October. The autumn chill grows this month as we lose another 1 hour and 13 minutes of daylight. The average temperature falls 11° from the 1st to the 31st - 2nd fastest cooling month of the year. Warm days have been frequent over the past week and half and after a brief cool off yesterday we are feeling a strong rebound in temps since early this AM. Up 25° since the AM low of 49° and 80s are coming north again. A warm front passes later tonight and we will make another jump tomorrow into the 80s. The warmth as advertised since last week is on the clock - with a large swing to chilly air still in the works beginning Friday morning. The cold front passing Friday will deliver the coolest weather here since mid may and drop area temperatures to November levels for Saturday afternoon We have rain on the way - the dry streak reaches day 10 but ends soon. Timing of showers and t-storms could develop as early as the pre-dawn hours to early Thursday with another round of heavier rain and a few gusty storms coming before sunrise Friday.
