Good Wednesday morning. Looks like summer has finally made it and the rain has held off for a while. Hope you all have a wonderful day and give someone a smile today, it could make their day. Don’t forget tonight is church night, get that mid-week fill up, the cost has not went up for over 2000 years, it’s still free. Have you ever been lied to or worse yet accused of something you did not do? How did it make you feel? A lie is bad and we overcome them almost on a daily basis but to be accused of something you did not do and no one to stand up for you who knows you didn’t do it, well that cuts to the bone or rips your heart out. I mean think about how you would feel if your spouse or family lied about you and falsely accused you of something that you did, knowing you have not done anything of the sort. All your so called “friends” left you and would not help you or stand up for you. You were all alone, no one cared about you, everyone was hollering guilty and your very own turned their backs on you. How would you feel? What a feeling it must be to know that when the King said I find no fault in him everyone else hollers guilty. All Jesus ever did was deal with those that were wrong, healed the sick, taught and showed compassion to those that the world had thrown away. Think about it, Jesus’ own, his disciples even lied about Him when they denied Him. That is being as low in the valley as you could get. The light of this world comes on this earth to help us and they would rather free a murderer than to let the light shine. How does that affect us today you may ask? We would rather take Barabbas (sin) than Jesus (truth). Look at the world around us, sin has exploded on the scene and the truth has been crucified. We don’t want to hear the truth anymore because it cuts like a two edge sword, so we continue to lie to us and to our Creator. We tell Him “let me get this or do this and I will serve you.” “God if you help me through this I will get in church and do right.” Jesus knows our heart and knows it is all vain. We lied and accused Him then and we still do today. They even say there is no God and He is dead and He is just a imaginary God. The sad thing is, we are just like Peter, when the heat gets turned up, we deny Him. Don’t believe me? Christians have set back and let the government, the ones we elect, take God, prayer and morals out of this country and we are afraid to stand up. Don’t you think He has been lied to and accused of wrong doing enough? Because of OUR lies and accusations – He was Beaten and Bruised. Funny thing is, He STILL did it for YOU!! B – Beaten and Bruised L – Lied about and falsely accused O – Oppressed by His accusers O – Obedient to His Father D – Death for our sins God Bless and God loves you for who you are!!
