Good afternoon Team AED, Our first scheduled trip for the Fall semester will take place locally here in San Antonio at the Center For The Intrepid (CFI) on JBSA Fort Sam Houston. I have 30 visitor slots available. When: October 17, 2014 at 11:30 AM. We will carpool from the UTSA campus at 10:45 AM Here is the mission statement for the CFI: The threefold mission of the CFI is to provide rehabilitation for OIF/OEF casualties who have sustained amputation, burns, or functional limb loss, to provide education to DoD and Department of Veterans Affairs professionals on cutting edge rehabilitation modalities, and to promote research in the fields of Orthopedics, prosthetic and physical/occupational rehabilitation. The staff and equipment for the building was selected to provide the full spectrum of amputee rehabilitation as well as the advanced outpatient rehabilitation for burn victims and limb salvage patients with residual functional loss. Services are presented to patients using an interdisciplinary approach and include physical medicine, case management, behavioral medicine, occupational therapy, physical therapy, wound care, and prosthetic fitting and fabrication. You can sign up with me tonight at the meeting. Vernon Nauls AED Vice President
