Good afternoon everyone - I hope you are all enjoying the final rays of holiday sunshine and getting yourselves revved up for the first day of the final term of 2014 tomorrow! Youll see an amazing change when you arrive at school - the whole admin block has gone! The demolition was a fairly uneventful affair and we are left with a clean slate upon which to work some planting and landscaping magic to make a real statement at our school entry. Youll also notice that the two regular entrance ways from the car park to the school have been blocked off. There is still some work to be done relaying the electrical cable from the Tech/Year 12/Canteen buildings, and of course some pipes were discovered when the trench was being dug that werent supposed to be there! Hence, the trenching has been going VERY slowly and carefully and is not yet complete. Temporary fencing has been erected to keep us all out of danger, and for the next week we ask that everyone enter and exit the school via the Library gate from the car park. During the school day there will be one door operating for the canteen, and Year 12 students and teachers will need to access their building from behind the Tech Studies building until the work is complete. Once again temporary fencing will direct pedestrian traffic. Tom and I will be out early tomorrow morning with some signage to ensure that students, parents and teachers know where to go, but please pass the message about these temporary arrangements on to anyone you know. Students will be directed to the library gate at the end of the school day for after school pick up and this is where the teacher will be on duty. Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow.
