Good afternoon everyone. It is with a broken heart I type this post. Santos has been readmitted to the hospital this morning. The 2nd spinal fusion surgery he had 1 month ago didnt completely take. Because it didnt, there has been too much movement in the spine causing further damage yet. T12 and L1 held together well, but not L2 & 3. Therefore he will be having yet another fusion done (tentative date of Tuesday). They will remove those screws at the bottom, bridge over L3 altogether (it is too weak now to put screws in) and continue the fusion through L5, though his sacrum and actually fuse into his pelvis on both sides. Good thing God has a plan because I can honestly say right now I am lost. All we can do is completely turn everything over to Him and continue on through faith.
