Good afternoon folks. AMBER WEATHER WARNING FOR SNOW. AREAS AFFECTED. North Yorkshire Moors and East Riding of Yorkshire. Valid from 4:00 till 0:00 pm A line of rain sleet and snow showers are now pushing inland to affect expecially the North Yorkshire Moors and the East Riding of Yorkshire. There could be as much as 5 to 10cm of snow over 100m and as much as 5cm to lower ground in the heavier showers. These showers will push further inland but they will loose there intensity and frequency to only give a dusting to Western areas before dieing out altogether. Ice in these regions will be a major hazard with melting snow and showers as soon as the sun sets. Please take extra time in these areas for travel. Many thanks. Chris Winterburn page Administration.
