Good day Everyone This means the world to me. My name is Craig Michael, I am the Project Director at a Organization called Compass. About Compass (Community provision and social services) Compass is a nationally recognized and registered organization through the Government in South Africa. Our team have researched the culture of charity on a global scale and pressure of the global socio-economic climate has forced the lower levels of society outside of our socio-economic structure. The result is that the poor, homeless, unemployed & uneducated live by their own rules & understanding of society, because of the lack of access into our world order and systems. Out of this naivety and desperation to survive, crime, corruption, abuse and lawlessness is born. The ones who suffer the most are the innocent babies that are born into this current world order. We recognize that even the heads of governments find it difficult to raise funds for one’s own country. The key solution lies within the charities and Non-Profit Organizations (NGOs) that have access to funding and are actually willing to do the work required and not leave everything up to the government. Compass is a non-profit organization that runs a number of Upliftment programs to help the ones who deserve a second chance in life and in South Africa. We feed more than a 103 women and children/babies on a daily basis. Our women attend empowering workshops & training to prepare them for the future and to help them get back on their feet. A part of our long term vision is to build a village for approximately 1 000 women and children. In order to accomplish this, we need to purchase a piece of land Land Value ; R 7,000,000 (Estimated size 45 to 50 acers) What we will do on the land? 1. We will build housing to house 1000 women and children 2. We will build a hospital to keep our children healthy 3. We will build a school to educate mothers and children for their futures All on one property for security and for there well been. We believe our project will change the lives of many and give many unfortunate Women/children a fresh start in life. The reason for this proposal The reason for this proposal is, We don’t get any form of assistance from the State Government) And as and None-profit organization we are not able to buy our own land and thus is why I rely on Companies such as yours for assistance to keep our babies and children in a loved and cared for environment. We find ourselves in dire straits and on a survival level having to depend on your generosity. We currently have 4 houses which are full to the brim and it is not easy to turn away families that desperately need a helping hand. Having to raise funds for the 4 homes in Edenvale that we are currently renting, is a month to month challenge to maintain these homes and our monthly expenses for our children. It would be so much easier and more economical if we can get land and be able build our Project. Our current Budget for COMPASS. Emergency Request for a sponsor I would like to appeal to your heart today to assist me with a sponsorship for one of the amounts shown above for the end of August 2014, as one of our major sponsors is unable to assist our organizations further. I believe with your assistance our organization can build financial sustainability. With your assistance we as an NGO can develop and create a permanent and secure environment for these children. Or a sponsorship per child of R2100.00 which will sustain the each child for 3 months.
