Good day The Great of the greatest AASSNIDITES. Pls permit me to welcome us back to campus, as such wish US all a pleasant stay and successful studies on our respective field of studies. I must start by commending all concerned defunct NUASSITES who at their discretion and time was able to call, text, email, tweet, facebook, ping or engage me or any other ruling council of the union, be it executive or traditional in a brotherly interaction of the unions benefit. I wish to extend my gratitude on behalf of both bodies; NDEEWO NU. Sincerely having been gone for impromptu ASUU/FG strike which lasted for 169 days(approximately 6months) and a successive Yuletide and New year holiday we are fortunate to be back hale and hearty. Notably, most unions and associations in campus had been candle processing, on account of their painful loses and disheartened encounters yet to the glories of God will are mind settled in Blessings instead of misfortunes. Therefore, for this singular but an awesome reason, I give God the whole glory. Explicitly, most had wondered why Congress have not been summoned since the return of this new semester as to buttress salient points and mingle according to the ethics of the Union. Most relentive fellow on separate account may as well be indifferent hence they never found it worthwhile. Guided by the Motto of the union; knowledge,unity and progress we shared from AASSNID with Her inherent love, Am here to intimate US all that due to vacuum created by the sudden closure of all ASUU involved Institutions across the 36 states of the federation and our individual desire to be a better educational acquainted citizens, which allow us time to make up for the lost times in our respective academic endeavours, am here to formerly welcome us back to Campus and as well encourage us to know the Sons and daughters of whom we are. In a harmonious but progressive development, I want to cease this opportunity to eloquently apologise for our both executive and General meetings delay. This became pertinent as we inline our action with past experiences to condole every member of the union in a more transparent manner. Therefore we allow everybody to settle down sequentially in academics, religious and socially as to enjoy an optimum co-operation of the union. Having been gone for that long(as portrayed above) many things has changed for either bad or good thereby leaving us with a different challenges. Considering the short time left for this administration led by my humble self, I wish to remind us to be steadfast, courageous and resilient in en-mass our collective support towards the better upliftment of our union. In essence therefore, one cannot say We when such person have not contributed assiduously to merit the word WE. Its better late than Never, as we in exco in all time of our reign sort the unreserved support of every member of the union. At this end, I vigorously believe that we have worked so hard to deserve whatever result nature has in stock for US. Most importantly brethren, I bow to a saying What will not separate us can only bind Us, therefore I urge every one of Us, both young n old, fresh n stale to look out for our meeting notices as we re set to commence such soon, and I mean SOON!!!. In a progression which hold it tripod on the train of morals and time, etiquette are usually the deriving force or biting strength. Conclusively, He who felt offended by the actions and inaction of any member of the union, both in past and present executive councils, should sheath his/her sword of anger and remember the tripod on which our union is built upon; OBINWANNE. I on behalf of my self or such offender solemnly tender unreserved apology(ies) to such person or group of people. Lets forget the heat and enjoy the breeze as we are now in a year of the LORD, 2014. Lets unite and build indispensable AASSNID devoid of sentiments,affiliation and scepticism. Lets be bind in love like a bunch of broom and be undivided like a rock, only with such guest will we excel and contribute our quota to the betterment of our jointly own Union. Biko nu, ka anyi jikota Obi onu wee wube ogbako kasi ibe ya mma. Nde ewo nu Umu Anambra. Oga adiriri anyi niile mma o!. Long live UNIBADAN NIGERiA! Long live ANAMBRA STATE THE LIGHT OF THE NATION!! Long live AASSNID UNIBADAN CHAPTER!!!.
