Good day all; On June 1970 it was a lunch time and my father came home and announced that he had resigned from the government and refused the post of Governorship in one of states in Iran. It was a major surprise for all of us. Then came the second surprise; he turned to me with a stern face that here is your passport you are going with the Iranian Air Force plane to US to join your brother who is in Kent to study there. Being an eighth grader my first reaction was coooooool , then I turned to my mother to see if she is as happy as I! Tears was coming down her beautiful always caring and kind eyes and face. She was really hurt, my joy went away immediately when the reality hit me that I will not have the comfort of home and more importantly her arms. I arrived to US on June second in 1970 at McGuire Air Force Base in NJ, I was treated with such care and kindness. So thank you there; 3> When I started 9th grade at Davey Junior High I could barely speak English and joined a very giving brother who did not plan on being a father to a teenager a away from his parents. Of course my sister in law was a supper angel and did for me way more than anyone I could have asked for. Here I was in a foreign country that my communication was very limited and did not know a soul in school or any where. My first angel arrived to pick me up Kevin Gardner, May God bless him he help me with everything so did his wonderful and very lovely family. Many thanks to them all and they have a permanent place in my heart. Then came host of other caring angels, Roger Vance and his lovely family , Mike Visca, Alex Ricci, Mark Haskins, Tim Boykin and his lovely family, Leslie Trumphour,Chuck Unger and George Urban and his lovely father, forgive me if I forgot anyone else. There were host of others that made me welcomed and I thank them. You all have are special place in my heart. Thank you Now that I am 58 and on July 12th will turn 59 am not so worried about some truth being mentioned of certain things. First eight months was the toughest, crying every night my self to sleep for no longer really having emotional tie to anything or anyone and not understanding anyone! But you all the caring ANGELS made school a home away from home. You all made my life more complete and better; so from the bottom of my heart and the bottom of US (Texas) I thank you all for a wonderful 44 years. I will never forget those wonderful memories. So maybe I never told you all before: I love you all and I think about you all at all times. I now call Kent, Ohio with pride like you would not believe HOME. I wished that I could have been there for the reunion but you all are united in my heart anyway. I am not a religious person at all but wish you all the blessing of your beloved maker. Much love
