The Local Government Unit of Kawayan, Biliran would like to inform you that as of today, we are all safe here in Biliran Province despite the Super Typhoon Yolanda which struck our province and other regions nationwide wherein Eastern Visayas was placed in Signal No. 4! There is no casualty here in Kawayan. Only in Naval for a figure of four and one in Cabucgayan as reported by the Biliran.Island.Com and Phil. Information Agency. Lets all thank our Divine Providence for giving us enough strength and courage to face the monster typhoon! Lets also acknowledge our municipal government esp. Mayor Rodolfo J. Espina, Sr. and the rest of our municipal officials and employees both in the local and national agencies for all the support extended to combat said disaster. The WIFI connection or VSAT Internet of our LGU which we charged to to our 5% Calamity Fund last 2011 is of great help to our communication link to our families, relatives, friends, etc. especially to the latest/updates of our status being a victim of such natural calamity!
