Good evening Quidditch fans! I hope you have enjoyed the rest this week following an emotionally and physically exhausting weekend at The Southern Cup! Throughout the week, the Captains of each respective Southern Cup team have been voting for Player of the Tournament and Rookie of the Tournament, and we have a result! Rookie of the Tournament: Described as That One Dude From The Nifflers Who Like Totally Ran Past All Those Chimeras Wearing NO CLEATS LIKE WHAT A WHAT?! this guy probably has a very bright Quidditching future ahead of him. Despite playing with just 8 players on the final day, this Niffler had a darn good go against the European champions, and shone in a team which struggled throughout the weekend. Congratulations to Matt Frampton! Most Valuable Player (MVP): I dont think there can be any surprise or argument about the result of MVP. Nathan Jones of Falmouth came very close due to the sheer quantity of hoops he scored over the weekend. However, our winner caught 3 (YES THREE) SWIM catches to send London Unspeakables Quidditch to a very well-deserved 3rd place, exceeding their seeding (thats a great rhyme) by two places. Please put your hands together - or just nod politely at your laptop screen - for Fiona Howat!! Both Matt and Fiona win the sheer adulation of us all. Have a great weekend everybody!
