Good evening We have a few scattered showers across the Isle - TopicsExpress

Good evening We have a few scattered showers across the Isle of Wight, central and southern areas of England and Wales this evening but the main focus for these is across East Anglia. These showers will clear away eastward over the next few hours to leave a largely dry night, however outbreaks of rain will push eastward across south west England and southern and central parts of Wales during the early hours of Thursday morning. This rain will spread across north Wales, the rest of England and the Isle of Wight by around dawn but will be mostly light and patchy away from south west England. Across Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man we also have a scattering of showers. These too will clear to leave a largely dry night but some, mostly patchy and light rain will affect Northern Ireland by around dawn. Northwest and central northern parts of England and south western and central western parts of Scotland are being affected by longer spells of rain currently which will continue into the early part of tonight whilst spreading into north eastern parts of England and south eastern and central eastern parts of Scotland. The rain will clear eastward from these areas later leaving behind drier conditions but may take some time to clear from northern England where further, mostly light and patchy outbreaks of rain will spread in by dawn. Across northern Scotland, the Western Isles and the Northern Isles scattered showers will continue tonight but they will gradually become fewer and further between. A largely cloudy night for many with the best of any clear spells across central and eastern areas of England initially before cloud increases here from the west, and later across Scotland, the Western Isles and the Northern Isles. It will be breezy for many at times through the night but especially for exposed southern and western areas in south westerly winds. Those winds will though be lighter across northern Scotland, the Western Isles and the Northern Isles and winds will fall lighter across Northern Ireland later. It will be quite a mild night with temperatures by dawn widely falling to between 7 and 11 degrees, north to south. Colder across inland areas of north east Scotland with lows here of 3 to 5 degrees. Tomorrows full forecast will be with you later. Matt.
