Good evening everyone at California State University, Northridge! Thank you to the 156 people that voted for me during this long, competitive, and unique Senatorial campaign. Tonight, I had the privilege of congratulating both Gabrielle Danis and Jorge Reyes (both Journalism majors and part of United We Thrive Slate) for being elected Senators for the Mike Curb College of Arts, Media and Communication. They were elected by the hardworking students at this campus and without a doubt; they deserve the upmost congratulations for being elected as one of the 24 senators for the Associated Students for the 2014-2015 school year. While its natural, tonight, to feel some disappointment, after the sun rises tomorrow, we must move beyond it and work together to unite our academic college. And though we fell short, I am so deeply grateful to all of you for the great honor of your support and for all you have done for me. Every candidate makes mistakes, and Im sure I made my share of them. But I wont spend a moment of the future regretting what might have been. Even though I wish the outcome had been different, my friends this past election will never have any more meaning to me than the privilege of your support, your faith and your friendship.
