Good evening friends! A daily dose of Dalton packed with amazing updates! Dalton had a great week!! This is a lengthy update, but a lot to report. This week Dalton had ENT, Neurology and Pulmonology appointments. Everything went very well. Dalton had his first hearing test hes had in awhile. He passed this first one. They are going to do an advanced ABR hearing test under sedation when he gets his routine MRI next month. Evidently one of the bazillion side effects of premature babies can be mild to moderate hearing loss. We dont think this is the case with Dalton, however we want to be safe. The neuro appointment also went really well. She was very happy to see Daltons progression. Next month we will go in for our routine please dont let the brain tumor be back appointment and MRI. This is the appointment that is a little more telling as we can check and make sure the shunt is working appropriately and everything is developing as it should. Finally and the best news for last, Dalton had a STELLAR appointment at the pulmonologist who made big changes on his ventilator settings. They went down a LOT! Dalton had an incredible blood gas immediately following and that means he is tolerating the weaning! I feel so blessed. This has been a difficult week. I am so grateful for those who help build us up and support us. I could not be more grateful for all of you. I am truly thankful for the love, support and relationships I have made from this page.
