Cutting is selfish. Cutting is someone asking for attention. Cutting is meaningless. You say these things, but yet you all still remain to ask the same question. Why do people cut? Imagine. Going to school. You turn down a hall way and someone tells you to kill yourself, you turn another corner with nothing but the blank expression on your face and a group of people call you ugly, and worthless, imagine going down the stairs to find out someone started a rumor about you, and now everyone has turned against you. You go home. Your abused. Or depressed, alone, stressed, like no one can hear you scream help. We all seem to have so much to say about people we dont even have a clue. When they go home, do you even know what happens? Where they come from? What theyve been through? How there treated? They are put down. Kicked around, and yet still are living and breathing. And for what? To leave there room and step out into the world only to find that the pain will follow them no mater where they go. And as they pull down there sleeves, someone sees on the corner of there eyes, and ask why. why did you do it. They might say I dont know. They say it only because the pain is so great that you can not explain because it is unexplainable. Secrets lye underneath the scars. You may think you know everything about them, but no one ever knows. Theres always pieces missing to the bladed puzzle. And you turn your backs on them only because you don understand, you dont feel what they feel. The numbness that the blade brings upon themselves. Its there medication. But they wouldnt need this if only we the sickness would just stop. Im sorry. Im sorry for everything hurtful, I have ever said about someone, or to someone. Even If we arent the greatest of friends, I realize I dont know you all that well. Ill never understand anyones true thoughts. true feelings. true life. Who am I to say weather or not this person is worthy of life, because no matter what everyone is. Theres beauty even in the darkest of those who have lost sight of the light. Please to those who self harm just know, Someone cares. And to those who dont, Open your minds. Your hearts, and try to answer the question everyone seems to ask. why. for my daughter
