Good morning, England, Wales & Channel Islands: A much better day in store today and this is already evident in parts of Central and southern England with plenty of sunny spells on offer, for parts of the South West and southern Wales we have some showers to contend with this morning, for northern England conditions will remain dry but generally cloudy, however the cloud cover will edge further north during the morning with sunny spells breaking through. There will be a risk of a shower for parts of the North West during this morning with sunny spells in between. There will be some sunshine around for the Channel Islands this morning, however, there will be a shower risk attached. For this afternoon much of England will remain fine with plenty of sunny spells around along with variable amounts of cloud cover, one or two showers can’t be ruled for parts of North West England, Midlands and central Southern England, although any showers will be isolated so many areas will remain dry. For parts of the South West and Wales the showers will be a little more frequent here, with one or two sharp showers possible with the odd rumble of thunder mixed in, however, there will be plenty of sunny spells in between the showers. For the Channel Islands this afternoon, sunshine and showers will be the theme. Feeling quite warm for the South East today with temperatures possibly reaching 25°c, elsewhere temperatures will range from 17°c - 21°c Scotland, NI Isle of Man: In general, a mixture of sunny spells and showers will be on offer today, the showers will be more confined to western areas of Scotland with central and Eastern areas seeing plenty of sunny spells. For the Northern Isles conditions will remain rather wet as an area of rain will linger throughout most of today. Sunshine and showers will affect NI today with one or two turning heavy and thundery, for the Isle of Man there be plenty of sunny spells along with variable cloud cover, however, there will be a risk of a shower or two this afternoon. Temperatures for central and eastern Scotland will range from 17°c - 21°c, for western Scotland, NI and the Isle of Man temperatures will range from 14°c - 17°c.
