Good morning, England, Wales & Channel Islands: Thunderstorms and heavy showers will continue to affect parts of East Anglia and the South East throughout this morning, due to the slow moving nature of these showers, heavy rainfall will lead to a risk of localised flooding. Showers will also continue for Wales & the South West this morning with sunny spells in between, for the rest of England & the Channel Islands it will remain largely dry with some sunny spells along with variable cloud amounts, we can’t totally rule a shower out in one or two places but they will be isolated and brief in nature. For this afternoon showers and thunderstorms will continue to affect parts of East Anglia for a time before clearing away, for South East however, the thunderstorms and heavy showers will continue into this evening and once again, localised flooding will be possible due to the slow moving nature of the showers. We will be monitoring this situation. Showers will continue to affect Wales and the South West this afternoon, one or two of which could be heavy and thundery, for the rest of England & the Channel Islands, conditions will be generally dry with sunny spells on offer, there will be some variable clouds from time to time and we can’t rule out a rogue shower in places but in the main, a fine day in store. Feeling much fresher today, with temperatures widely ranging from 18°c - 23°c. Scotland, NI & Isle of Man: A generally dry day in store for much of Scotland, there will be sunny spells on offer throughout the day along with some variable clouds, one or two showers may affect southern areas this afternoon, however, the risk is low and many areas will remain dry. Temperatures will generally range from 18°c – 22°c, western and northern coasts will be a little cooler with around 16°c - 18°c expected here. Showers will ease off for NI this morning to leave a generally dry and fine day here, it will also be a fine day for the Isle of Man, with plenty of sunny spells around, but there will be some cloudier intervals from time to time.
