Good morning FB friends, it’s Thursday, July 11, 2013. Looking forward to the UARA Race Day tomorrow at Tri-County Speedway in Hudson, NC and praying for God’s Speed and Protection for those participating in Test Day there today. I want us to think today on our Destiny Road Journey post on the subject of “Making Good Laps to Position Ourselves for a Victorious Finish!” The majority of our UARA races are 150 laps (excluding rain-shorten, and the two Rockingham races which are 75 laps) a racing term used often is “making laps” in this time period “strategy” is used by the driver and crew to place the team in Victory Lane! The Apostle Paul uses the term pertaining to his Destiny’s Road Race of Life, “I finished the race.” The length of our Race on Earth is determined by the Owner of the Universe. (“When I view and consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have ordained and established, what is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of [earthborn] man that You care for him?” – Ps. 8:3&4). We achieve “earthly” Victories because of Christ’s Victory which we inherit at the Cross, “But thanks be to God, Who gives us the victory [making us conquerors] through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Cor. 15:57) ~ Those things that strike fear in the hearts of humans have been defeated as were recorded in this same chapter in the preceding verses 54-56, “So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.” “O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?” The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law.” ~ This Spiritual fact for us who are “in Christ” is what allows us to make good and happy laps until we receive the Greatest Championship Trophy of all which Paul talks about, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful. And now the prize awaits me—the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of his return. And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to his appearing.” (2 Tim. 4:7-8)! ~Make Good Laps today to prepare for a Victorious Finish! ~Blessings!
