Good morning FB friends, this is Wednesday, July 10, 2013. Today we go to the Radiology Surgeon to obtain the last bit of information for the plan for Elena’s medical treatment for the tumor in her right lung. Please continue to pray for us. ~ On our Destiny Road Journey today, the Holy Spirit has lead me back a familiar portion of scripture shared by the Psalmist David in Psalm 55. David experienced a lot of life’s trials and at the time of the writing of this portion of Scripture under the inspiration of God, David was overwhelmed with everything around him. So with this in mind I want us to think on the topic of the “Power of Releasing.” David immediately goes to prayer, Psalm 55:1-4, “Give ear to my prayer, O God, and do not hide Yourself from my supplication. Attend to me, and hear me; I am restless in my complaint, and moan noisily, because of the voice of the enemy, because of the oppression of the wicked; for they bring down trouble upon me, and in wrath they hate me. My heart is severely pained within me, and the terrors of death have fallen upon me.” ~ David goes on listing the severity of his troubles, even mentions friends that had forsaken him, he comes to the realization, that he must “Release it all to the Lord!” ~ Verses 16 &17, As for me, I will call upon God, and the Lord shall save me. EVENING and MORNING and at NOON I will pray, and cry aloud, and He shall hear my voice.” ~ David reveals a “continuous” communing with the Lord in the midst of his daily trials, then brings this encouraging message to us in verses 22 & 23, CAST YOUR BURDEN ON THE LORD, AND HE SHALL SUSTAIN YOU; HE SHALL NEVER PERMIT THE RIGHTEOUS TO BE MOVED. But You, O God, shall bring them down to the pit of destruction; bloodthirsty and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; but I will trust in You.” ~ I close with these often quoted Scriptures penned down under the Holy Spirit’s inspiration by David’s son Solomon in Proverbs 3:5&6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” ~Overwhelmed, release it to the Lord today, and He will Sustain Us!” ~Blessings!
