Good morning! Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created......................... Theres so much in those few words and as I was meditating on this verse, God reminded me that He is still creating! Psalms 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me. Yes! Yes! Yes! I want a clean heart! Dont you? As we look forward to a new year with new challenges, we need to look at our hearts. Its time to do a self-evaluation of how we made it into 2015. Sometimes we carry a lot of baggage around due to past hurts or failures. It may have happened 30 years ago or just a few days ago. Whatever it was, we may be carrying around some bitterness, anger, frustration, anxiety or just a grudge. Maybe the walls around our heart got a little higher. God does not want you loaded down with stuff that will keep you from Him. Our Lord wants us to be free. He died for all that stuff that bogs us down. Its time to get rid of it. Usually the first thing we think of when a new year is here is our physical bodies. We want to eat healthier and lead healthier lifestyles by exercising more. But we never think about our spiritual lives, do we? Dont we all want a closer relationship with Jesus Christ? We want to walk closer with Him. We want to hear His Voice! We want Him to be first in our lives, not an after thought. Starting today, pray Psalm 51:10 several times a day. Make it your go to verse. Own it and make it yours!! Your biggest challenge may be in 2015. We dont like to think that, but we dont hold the future, God does! Be ready! Start your day with a clean heart and know that He is with you each and every day.
