Good morning. I have a few things on my mind this morning.... First of all, I have not and will not alter my schedule/routine for my son. During the week he is in bed at 8, because he gets up at 5:15 every morning. Sunday is a day of relaxation. We do not go anywhere on Sundays during the school year. When he doesnt have Sunday as a day of relaxation, he has a very bad week. He is hyper, and I have found that making Sunday his day of rest keeps him calm and focused. It isnt about what I want, but rather what is best and what works for my son. I have been criticized because I do this, but in all seriousness, how can you criticize me for being a responsible parent. For paying attention to my child... Learning his behavior... Also the OAA, is a very important test that every 3rd grade student in the state of Ohio must take and pass. My focus is that... So he wont be participating in extra curricular activities, unless meetings or practice are held on Fridays or Saturdays. Forgive me for being strict. But he has to take the test in October, Im sure he will. But until then my focus is making sure he passes. Dont like it? Ok, but if I werent being a responsible and strict parent, you would be dogging me and still talking shit.... Be happy there are still real mothers left.... Im done losing sleep over people who arent contributing. Will say they are There, but wont pick up a book, buy a workbook, come read to him in the evenings, wont do your research on the OAA or anything. Im not calling names, but Im tired of being made to look like the bad guy, but some of you only want to be involved, when its convenient for you, not when it requires putting in work.
