Good morning, I would to share with you guys my experience with a Police Officer on yesterday you give me your thoughts, So on yesterday I was attending a good friend of mines (Power couple DevonRae Johnson) baby shower. The location of their party was in a White community. Well I had trouble in finding the location as I was driving up and down the street I called Lois Jenkins to get the actual location of the Venue. As she was directing me to the Venue, I made an U-turn (My thinking it was a lawful U-Turn) but initially is was not. Well the police pulls me over. I am still on the phone with Lois and the officer approaches my vehicle, as he told me that the U-turn I did was illegal. I expressed to him that I was looking for a venue and I was lost and my friend was directing me to the actual venue. Well he still asked me for my information, as I was looking for my documents I asked Lois could she or Jason come over and stand next to me just for security reason, mind you I am a 6;6 African American Male in a White community driving around in a black vehicle with tented windows (you do the math ok). So the officer takes my information and Lois stands next to car and we are talking, as Im waiting on my ticket, the officer comes back to my car and asked Me what is it that I do for a living? He asked if I work for a Government agency and I responded by saying yes. This officer goes off on me saying that I SHOULD BE ASHAME OF MYSELF TO ASKED SOMEONE TO COME AND STAND NEXT TO ME BECAUSE I FEAR FOR MY SAFETY. He goes on to say that He should have wrote me a citation for what I asked Lois/Jason to do. He was like all officers are not bad and how dare I be a representative of the Department to make such gestures that I was at harms way. I said sir I dont know what TV you watch at home but there are many examples out there in the world to make me feel the way that I do. Now are you going to cite me for the illegal U-turn that I made or what? He says to me sir everything that is happening right now is being recorded so I would never do anything that you are insinuating. He then say I am going to give you a warning this time and let me go. Im sorry but there is only one Rodrick K. Flowers and I want to make sure that I am safe at all times Mr. Law Officer of Sierra Marde California. Thanks for the Warning....
