Good morning! Its EXTREMELY IMPORTANT to have your antivirus current and all of your definitions up to date, and it always has been. There is a new virus attacking PCs called Crypto Locker. Its essentially a rogue virus that opens a program and begins a countdown clock that gives you 96 hours to pay to get your data unencrypted. We have researched this heavily, and the only answer thus far is to actually PAY the $300.00 ransom to get your data back. This isnt like in the past where we can simply migrate your data and clean it; once its encrypted, we can NOT decrypt it. Again, if you are even a little unsure as to the status of your antivirus, bring it in and let us check it out. We can install a GREAT antivirus that has been documented to fully protect you and perform a full diagnostic for $40.00. We will continue to research this matter and as soon as we have a solution regarding already encrypted data, well update you here.
