Good morning. Its clear and cold here. No wind. Full moon - TopicsExpress

Good morning. Its clear and cold here. No wind. Full moon glowing like a pearl. The Big Dipper is overhead now. Its a day of remembrance...Dec. 7th. 73 years ago, Pearl Harbor was attacked. I could expound, but why when most of us baby boomers had great history teachers? I have never been to the resting place of the USS Arizona that is set aside in our 50th state. I cant. Alabama won the SEC. Landrieu lost the Senate run-off race in Louisiana. Bobby Keys died this week. He was a saxophonist for the Stones and others. He started on the road at age 15 with Bobby Vee and Buddy Holly. Go to Wikipedia for more info. Amazing body of work and interesting things people do on the road. He was 70. Rolling Stone confirmed how not to write anything for publication. Check your sources with at least 3 independent sources. If you cannot do that, check your sources story every which way you can. If you cant do that, you dont print it. End of story. Another week of someone breaking the law, refusing the policemans directive (in this case he had done this same thing multiple times, so he knew the drill and refused to be arrested), the police having to use force to subdue and handcuff a person of massive size and weight which ends tragically. For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. David Clarke who is the Milwaukee County Sheriff said what people need to listen to. Check out that interview. Common sense. Two hostages died in a SEAL attempt to free Luke Somers. The other hostage was Pierre Korkie. Apparently, some kind of agreement regarding the freeing of Korkie was something our administration did not know about. What?! Well, hell. I have written about a lot of negative activities that filled our week. Not happy about that. The Yuletide season is here. People baking/shopping/being more positive than usual. The happy chatter of children. Christmas lights popping up here and there since Thanksgiving. Please remember there are others who are lonely without friends/family...maybe because of age or illness. Try to open your circle and bring them into the warmth. Just one person, guys. I worked on adding outdoor decorations yesterday. It was a perfect day. Sunny. Comfortable. Our local community had its Christmas parade on Friday night. Perfect night for it. Not numbing cold like in previous years. There is Christmas in the Village at the fairgrounds. I wish we could extend that old-fashioned feel to the downtown. There was no music outdoors downtown yesterday. I hope at some time they (the council) will consider having carolers singing from one end to the other of Ludington. Having hot cider and hot chocolate served. A depository for canned goods or mittens or other needed items. Hot dog/hamburger stands. Fire barrels for warmth. Horse-drawn wagons. So many things we can do for this month. Then carry it over for January and so on. Make this a destination. Go forth this week and rock it. I suggest you start your morning with Bostons More Than A Feeling. Turn it up to nosebleed. Feel that bass and drum vibrate in your blood. Feel the lead guitar slam you the rest of the day. If that does not put a huge smile on your face, makes you dream of someone you used to know, get your money maker moving, your feet tapping, your head banging...then nothing will. If my wake-up song choice does not work for you...tell me what song does.
