Good morning! Just for the record I am going to quote a couple of my lines from my post on SUNDAY. For those of you quick to be angry about the lack of snow (in some towns), most of the issue comes from those who dont take the time to read my posts. If you did, you would have realized this storm was NOT a lock from the beginning. Also, weather data isnt perfect and we do with the data what we can. from Sunday:Im all about being honest and as clear as possible on social media, when you have a powerful storm they tend to be tightly wound up off the coast. Arctic air also helps to create a sharp cut off of heavy snow to little snow. We also have historically had to deal with dry slots of air wrapping into the storm here in southern New England. So, that being said: Eastern CT got slammed.. Central CT a big storm, a bust western border and NYC. Im glad no bad accidents, glad everyone was prepared... Thats all that matters. What happened? The storm shifted east about 75-100 miles. In the big picture, imagine this: Forecasting a storm that had no formed yet and then forecasting it within 100 miles of accuracy. The earth is big.. thats not bad. The issue.. as stated above, sharp cut off and we have a small state.. thats why some are saying wheres the snow others are saying enough. I hope this helps to explain our thought process and a little inside baseball on how we roll.
