Good morning, Latest satellite/radar composite image shows an arc - TopicsExpress

Good morning, Latest satellite/radar composite image shows an arc of rain across SBAVT/Kern/Ridgecrest areas. Scattered showers remains for the LA/OC/IE areas with isolated showers for San Diegos forecast areas. Per the final forecast issued for this storm it bodes well for the prediction of such an arc visible in the second image as the red areas as most of the rainfall from this storm hit those zones. For today, the storm will slide from west to east and then everything will cease later this evening into tonight region-wide. There will still be a chance of isolated thunderstorm activity for the areas east of Los Angeles and Orange County through today with surface-based instability finally developing due to the warming of the day. Offshore winds possible for gusty below pass and canyon areas after Tuesday. Were trying to get the storm window to maintain opening after the 20th, however due to the same ridge that brought the snow-storm into the Inland regions on New Years Eve Morning, the flow is going to be pretty tough to forecast that far out. So far we are left with a ridge again but the next possible window for it to breakdown will be around the 20th.
