Good morning Mama Stella, our house-help greets me and then quickly adds a question I am unable to answer. Now that Omuloodi Erias Lukwago is still the Lord Mayor of Kampala, does it mean that we are not going to vote for Pastor Peter Sematimba tomorrow? I do not know, I replied cautiously. Why are you asking? I inquired. I want to know so that I can go early tomorrow morning to the polling station to watch the ballot boxes. Last time Pastor Sematimbas people stole our votes, caned voters who complained and even brought for us already stuffed ballot boxes before the voting period started. This time I had planned to use my off-day tomorrow to go early to the polling station with other people in order to watch our votes. For us we are tired, this lady explained to me. So, please Kampalans tell me whether mayoral elections are still on. I need to advise this concerned citizen who is willing to surrender her weekly holiday in exchange for watching our votes. Are we voting tomorrow or not?
