Good morning People of God its 5:00 am, and Im very thankful to God for sparing me to see another day. For all you prayer warriors, please pray for my kidneys to return to a normal function, and the doctors to be able to find the correct medicine regimen to correct my health issues, and keep me out of the hospital. I still believe that our God is in the healing business, but in His own perfect timing. Please pray for the Mayfield family. One of our own prayer team members here at CFA, Ruth Mayfield lost her son Wendall Mayfield. Keep his two children in prayer, Alexis Mayfield, and Micheal Mayfield. I was in my quiet time this morning, and began to think very hard about the fact of us as parents not giving our children, or grand children, everything that they want, or even everything that we would like for them to have because it would destroy them if its not the right time. Im so glad that all of Gods blessings for His children are: Age Appropriate 11 And he said, A certain man had two sons: 12 And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that belongs to me. And he divided unto them his living.13 And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living. (Luke 15:11-13) Its a fact that there are many times that the Lord may not deny us what is rightfully ours, but He will delay it. God has multiple blessings stored up for each and every one of us, waiting for the appropriate time to release them to us. Most of us that are parents, can relate to the natural part of what Im getting ready to say this morning. There is certain gifts and toys even, that we cant wait to give our children, or grand children, but the gift may not be Age Appropriate. The most Important label on any toy, is the warning label that gives an appropriate age that the gift should be given. I know for sure that a gift is not really a gift if it will destroy the recipient, in fact the gift then becomes a curse that could easily bring harm, or even death. Many labels will read: For ages 3-6 only, and so on. The Bible says, God is the giver of all good things. That means that the God we serve is only capable of giving good gifts, and Age Appropriate gifts. Can I tell you People of God? Patience is a virtue. God in His infinite wisdom know exactly when its time to release certain blessings into our life, and His blessings are Age Appropriate. In our text this morning, the younger brother, the prodigal son teaches us that if we get what is ours to soon, we cannot handle it. The same thing that should make us praise the Father, will drive us away from the Father if we get it to soon. The Bible says, he said Give me the portion of goods that belongs to me. The father gave in and gave it to him, and the blessing drove him over the edge. My prayer has always been, and yours should be, Lord dont give me more than I can handle. The father knew that the blessing rightly belonged to the son, but he was not even mature enough to handle it. In other words, the gift was not Age Appropriate. The father gave the anxious kid his due portion of his inheritance, and the kid left home. The Bible says, He gathered his belongings, packed his bags, and took his journey. Can I tell you this morning; When you receive a blessing that is not Age Appropriate, it will take you on a very unpleasant journey, that you never counted on taking. He probably thought, Im set now, no one to tell me what to do, and plenty of money to go out on my own and live well. People of God, the devil is the father of all lies, and if you believe that you can receive just one of Gods gifts that He has stored up for you, before its time, you are lying to yourself. He journeyed into a far country, a good distance away from the Father. God loves us so much, that He would never give us a gift that is not Age Appropriate, because it would cause distance between us, and Him. There are many that have received premature gifts and later after the disaster, discovered that God was not the giver. The Bible clearly says, The blessings of the Lord, it makes rich, and He adds no sorrow. (Proverbs 10:22) The prodigal sons immaturity caused him to go and live a riotous life, a wordily life apart from his earthly father, but even worse, apart from his Heavenly Father. He wasted his entire inheritance, and ended up in the hog pen, eating whatever he could get. You know the rest of the story. I pray that you can receive this in the midst of waiting on God to move a particular situation in your life, and even bless you with an inheritance that is rightfully yours. I know that the healing of God in my life is rightfully mine, but I also know that because of everything that God is doing inn my life in the midst of my sickness, that even my blessing of healing must be Age Appropriate. God may not come when you want Him, but the old song writer said, He is always on time. I rejoice this morning even though the battle is fierce, and the seas are roaring constantly in my life, that My God will not be moved by my situation no matter how much I plead, and give me a blessing that is not Age Appropriate. As I close: Always remember, What God has for you, is for you, and it will always be Age Appropriate. I love you all, and have a blessed day in the Lord.
