Good morning TXSW Music Family, Holy Convocation is just around the corner!!!!! And I am soooooo excited!!! This has been an awesome year so far and I’m excited about what God is going to do this July. I always say when the devil gets busy and the saints start praying and fasting, he has got to go!!!!! I honestly believe it is the prayers of the saints that avail much. I am asking you to join me in praying and consecrating the week of the meeting. Please meet me for 6am prayer Sunday morning and Monday morning. Wherever you are, let us join together beseeching God to come in and just rest among us. Let us pray for the Holy Ghost to saturate this meeting, each and every speaker and for this to not be a “status quo” meeting. Saints are pressing through trials and heartaches, etc ., to get him and when we anticipate a move of God, He will not disappoint. On Monday, which is our day, please fast with me until 12noon. Let us fast that the bands of wickedness be loosed and God bind us closer together as a music department and as a jurisdiction. As our National President says, “we are better together”! Remember Registration is $25 for the year and $10 onsite and you can register all week long. There is also a flyer of the week’s events. We will only be having class one day this meeting, which will be Wednesday morning; and our class presenters for that day will be Sis. Evelyn Shepherd and Min. Derrick Moore. Please come out and join us if you are not working during the day. I am asking the choir to meet me nightly in the choir stand at 7pm, Monday-Wednesday night; we want to be in place when the service begins. Thursday and Friday, please be in choir stand by 6:45pm for Choir Prep. On Saturday, we will be rehearsing at 3pm, location to be announced and there will be no choir prep that night. Midnight musical!!!! Friday night at Open Door COGIC in Waco Texas, where Supt. Stimpson is the Pastor. God has met us every year and I know this year will be even greater!! Our State Youth Choir, under the direction of Sis. Taria Porter, will be singing on Monday night and on Friday night during the Midnight Musical. The Youth Choir will be in Red, black and white. I am so excited this year and can’t wait to worship with you all. Let’s remember to dress accordingly (ladies—hose or knee hi’s and sleeves..smile). Men—no facial or ear jewelry.
