Good morning! Were open from Noon to 7pm today, and our Featured 20 pet for the day is Ember. Were so hoping her 7th year will finally bring her some good luck...because the first 6 havent been very good. We cant be sure of what happened to Ember in the past but whatever it was, it left her with terrible arthritis in her back hips. Which must have been especially painful when she was found stuck in a strangers furnace. To add insult to injury, that same stranger brought Ember to our shelter this past March, carrying her in a plastic bag (Heavy sigh). Despite what she has been through, Ember, who is a black and white domestic shorthair, remains a very sweet and loving cat who adores having her head rubbed. She is the type of cat, however, who wants affection on her own terms. When she is ready to be alone, she will gently let you know. Ember would do best in a quiet home without small children.
