Good morning all! Did the nail salon with Chance this morning and we did purple with sparkles. My favorite! One of my friends posted about not buying designer dogs because they are just mixed breeds being charged lots of money for. Go to the pound, there are plenty of them there. I agree with her 100%! I now have my 9th dog and I have yet to pay for one. Ive even had 3 pure breeds. I am actually a little leery of them because of the health problems associated with them. But there are so many dogs that need a good home I just cant see paying a breeder. All my mutts have lived to ripe old ages. Its heartbreaking when they leave us so young. Its hard enough to say good bye to our old boys and girls. I forgot that today was Friday and to skip some construction on 272 I went the back way by Green Dragon and still got snagged in slow moving traffic. That place is nuts! They come flying out of the parking lot and you better hope your not in the way! Green Dragon has changed so much since I was a little girl. Its become somewhat of a tourist trap and I avoid that crap at all costs. The sausage sandwiches arent even worth the lines anymore. I never did care for the way most of the cattle looked at the auction so thats not a draw either. My step dad used to buy the lab G. pigs. I was always on to that even as a kid and hated the whole thing. He would buy them, breed them and sell them back. I love animals too much to be even remotely ok with that. Im not good at blissful ignorance. It was a tad chilly leaving the house this morning, but it warmed up while I was in the salon. Sun is shining and its really a pretty day. The ornamental maples are making a show of their autumn splendor. I love maple trees. Cayenne is doing very well with us. She was doing nose scoots all over the bed last night. She also wouldnt take her eyes off Kenny. He is the ball player at night and she enjoyed it the night before. Shes a really good catch for never having played catch or fetch before, she loves the squeaky tennis balls and lays on the bed just making them squeak over and over after every catch. She also gives up the ball, not Chances strong suit. Hell fetch and catch, but he never gives up the ball, you have to wait til hes good and ready to put it down somewhere. Usually on the coffee table then he sits on the other side staring at you as if to say Well?. Hes just so sweet and adorable. I adore my dogs. I think Chance adores me. The others give me loads of love, so I know Im popular, But Zeus is most definitely daddys boy and Bride is not indifferent, but she spreads the love around to us both equally. We will see what happens with Cayenne. Shes a wonderful little lap dog so far when shes not too busy exploring. I love an animal in my lap, its so cozy. I got the cats fecal results and that was negative, but there is something going on. I know hes old, 18. Im having a senior panel done Tuesday on him. Im worried about the little old man.
