Good morning all. I had a wonderful time last night, now on to business. Last night, while I was at a concert, I was informed by all the people I was with that Gordon was posting about comments that I had made about the district 2 city council race. The first thing that everyone should know is that Gordon has blocked me from his Facebook page and I cant see anything that he posts. His major issue with me is my undying commitment to labor issues. Every time I post about Labor, he has to make terrible comments. I dont block him, I just respond with my opinion. I dont share his views on immigration reform, gun control, or national politics at all. I never try to restrict anyones views from Facebook. I am a believer in free speech and if you dont agree, engage. You never know how you might build a bridge, if you never have a conversation at all. My comments about district 2 were only about district 2. Everyone making comments about other districts are totally off base. Although I am also a diehard feminist, I do occasionally vote for men. LOL, just kidding. I am often sarcastic, not my fault if you have no sense of humor. My stance that only persons that have volunteered for the recall is not going to change. I will continue to point out who has volunteered and who has not. Let me lay this out for you. There were several people that dedicated years of their lives to take on city hall. I am not talking about a short amount of time here. My mom, and myself started fighting Benzeevi in 2009. We have been screaming about corruption for a long time and at the beginning everyone laughed at us. We were yelled at in public. We were called ugly, stupid, liars...in public and in the press. We had to slowly gather all the info and with lots of Deannas help, we helped put together the complaint that started the ball rolling to have the city council and Benzeevi raided by the FBI. We then dedicated additional years to work on all the recalls. We now find ourselves at the potential finish line. What is happening now is that several people are now jumping into the city council races that never volunteered one day on the rally, the recall tents, at city council, walking door to door, or behind the scenes. The potential for problems with this is huge. What most people dont understand is splitting of the votes. What could happen is so many pro-recall candidates jump in the race that they split the vote. The 1 anti-recall candidate will then end up getting more votes and winning the seat. So we dedicated years and years and what is going to end up happening? We will be right back where we started. I know that all lot of the other candidates have good intentions, but do you really want to hand the elections back to the other side? Do you fully understand the consequences of you running for office? If you didnt volunteer, you will just go back your lives after the election, no big deal. We will then have to start all over and try to find dirt on the other side and potentially have to start new recalls. That is so unfair. It is devastating to even thing about the future with this happening. I dont think you would ever want that to happen, right? The elections are going to get dirty. I have been working in politics locally for 28 years. This is the ugliest political environment that I have seen. There are several people that are targeted for exposure on personal issues. I for one do not believe that personal issue have any place in politics. I will be the first in line to question your ethics when it comes to public policy. I will be the first to ask the hard questions and will tell everyone when you are not meeting the expectations of the voter. If what you are doing privately is not illegal, then it should stay private. I wont go there. BUT, I am not the only political player in town. You have to understand that I am usually trying to warn everyone about what is being said. I probably will not be the one to expose you but that does not mean others will play so nicely. People seem to think that when I warn you, it is me that is somehow pulling all the strings. NOT TRUE!!!! I am just passing on info that I am hearing from others in the community. Be prepared for all the skeletons to come out in this election. Moreno Valley is wide awake and will not go back to apathy until after the elections. If you didnt volunteer, why are you insisting on running this time? Cant you let all the recall people have their chance? They have been working for years to get to this point...They deserve it. Run next time when the city is not so crazy. Is it really worth it? I will be addressing several things today. Please feel free to post here or contact me directly. It is an open blog for everyone to make comments....unless you have been blocked. As far as calling Gordon out, I stand behind those comments also. You have to be willing to face your advisories or what are all fighting for? Facing your accuser is a fundamental right that should be afforded everyone. Not just those we agree with. We have been fighting city hall because many of us feel like we were not being heard. If we are not willing to listen to each other, we are hypocrites. Hypocrisy is the greatest sin to me.
