Good morning, beloved brothers and sisters. My prayers for His grace and mercy upon you and your families on this Holy day. Today might best be dealt with as a day of deep reflection. We should contemplate our place in this world and how His wonderful love is given that we may be blessed and saved from ourselves. With joy, we might look to Him for all He has sacrificed for we, as people. Ye shall have a song, as in the night when a holy solemnity is kept; and gladness of heart, as when one goeth with a pipe to come into the mountain of the LORD, to the mighty One of Israel. Isaiah 30: 29 Truthfully, could we ever, on our own, muster the spiritual strength and abilities that it would have taken and still takes to get out of our self-created muck and mire (rhetorical question, of course)? How blessed our we for His intercession on our behalves? Can we ever even comprehend the depths of the sacrifice? And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob. Isaiah 49: 26 He does ask, though, that we take up following in His footsteps; that we fellow with Him in His glory; a demonstration of His love for us. And He said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. Luke 9: 23 Thank you, Lord, that you afford us this chance at redemption at your expense. We sing your praises and lift up your Holy name. Be blessed, my friends, and may all your days be spirit-filled and please Him, doing honor to His magnificence.
