We have been going through a refinance of our house that has seen - TopicsExpress

We have been going through a refinance of our house that has seen many delays because of the holiday season. In addition to these delays, my recent job change and founding of our new ministry further complicated the process. The lender requested all the documentation for my new job and the two organizations that we run, which easily made this the most aggravating refinance that Ive ever been a part of. The refinance was supposed to close last Friday, but some documentation that the lender ordered from a third-party didnt come in time. The lender said that there would be a 0.5% penalty to extend the rate lock, which pretty much set me off. I wrote them back saying that this penalty was ridiculous because we delivered all the documents to them on time as requested. I continued to complain that someone on their side messed up the timing, so we should not be responsible for this penalty. They wrote me back and asked that I be patient and said, We will see what we can do. I took a very deep breath, and asked the Lord to work it out for us. Seemingly unrelated to this, I recently found myself in a position to help a buddy of mine connect with a manager at one of the hospitals that I work at. Last week, my manager told me that they were looking to fill a highly specialized position: and my manager asked if I had anybody in mind. At that time, I didnt have anyone in mind. A couple days ago, my friend said he had been looking at the exact position at the other facility that I work at. I said in amazement, Dude, the manager of that facility just asked me if I knew anyone that would fit that position. If youre serious about the position, Ill email her your resume. After sending my manager his info, the two of them connected via phone call- and it looks like this could be a very good match for both sides. My buddy said, Thanks man. I really believe this kind of help comes back to you. I smiled and said, For sure! (I thought to myself, Bro, you have no idea how right you really are.) When I got off work yesterday, I checked my email while sitting in my car getting ready to go home. My lender sent an email stating that all the paperwork had been finalized, the rate that was locked in was 0.125% LOWER than originally disclosed, and they were covering ALL penalties. I dont about you, but that looks to me like some Divine Reciprocity because Gods Word says: Romans 8:28 (NIV) 28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 2:6 (NIV) 6 God will repay each person according to what they have done. James 1:17 (NIV) 17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. Be encouraged yall because Jesus is alive!
