Good morning everybody!! Hope you start the day off by eating a clean, healthy breakfast! I wanted to post a basic bread recipe as reference to everybody. This recipe makes A LOT of dough, so whatever you dont use, you can freeze, so you wont have to remake it all over again and save time. Id like to thank Richard Wilson for this recipe, as it all belongs to him! I have tagged his name in this status. I would also like to mention, for those of you that are local, Richard and his lovely wife Janeen will be doing group classes on how to cook healthy for a small fee after the holidays are over. I LOVE their classes and highly recommend them! They are some of the nicest, kind people you will ever meet, and they have taught me so much! Without further adieu, here is the recipe: Basic Bread WilsonCove’s Choices™ (Used for Bread, Rolls, Cinnamon Rolls, Pitas, Pizza Dough and?) Recipe makes 24 Cinnamon Rolls, 4 Loaves of bread Dry Ingredients: - 6 cups Whole Wheat Flour - 6 cups Unbleached Flour (White) - 1 cup Ground Flax Seed Meal - ½ tsp Salt (more if needed for taste) Wet Ingredients: - 4 tbls Sugar or Honey - 2 tbls Fast Acting Yeast (2 packets) - 6 cups Warm Water (2 cups for yeast, set aside remaining) - 1 cup Olive, Canola (Rapeseed), or Peanut Oil (Monounsaturated and Polyunsaturated Fats) Directions: Mix all dry ingredients in large mixing bowl or Kitchen Aid 16 Qt mixing bowl. In separate bowl (not metal) fold (slow Mixing) wet ingredients including yeast, cover and allow dough to double. Make a well in the dry mixture and pour wet mixture into well; fold dry mixture into wet mixture. As needed add remaining water and continue folding until dough becomes stiff, begin kneading dough until sides of bowl become clean and dough is no longer sticky. Allow to rise in warm place for 45 minutes or until double in size. Form into loaves or rolls. Place in oven on greased or sprayed pans at 350 for 45 minutes or until sides of bread separate from pan or until tops are golden brown. (Should sound hollow when tapped) Last batch I made of the bread was yesterday, and I edited the recipe a bit this time. I did only 1/2 cup of Flax Seed Mill, and about 3/4 cup olive oil, and the bread turned out great
