Good morning everyone! I don’t know about where you live but it’s a beautiful morning here and I’m looking forward to a brand new day with God! As we begin today; I would like to ask you a question…”Are we viewing our weaknesses in the wrong way?” In other words; are we viewing our circumstances through a worldly eye or a godly eye? When we view our circumstances through a worldly eye; I have come to see that we succumb to every symptom of the problem but when we view our circumstances through God’s eye; we see an opportunity, for Him to replace our weaknesses, with a greater strength that can only come from His presence. Today, I would like to read some special words, from II Corinthians 12:9-10, which have become my life verses and we read…”But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. (10) That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” Do we realize that it’s so easy to have our thinking backwards, when it comes to viewing a circumstance in our life? I remember a time, in my own life, when I was so caught up, in the pain and despair I was going through; that I could not even see an ounce of hope. I turned to God one day and asked Him, why He was allowing so much to enter my life. The only response I felt within my spirit was this…”Rejoice.” I replied…”Rejoice…how can I do that, when pain is overtaking my body and I’m feel depressed over my situation?” From there, God took me to these verses and opened my eyes, to a truth that had been hidden by my moments of affliction. I began to realize that when we are experiencing weakness; that isn’t a sign of defeat but rather, it’s a time, when God is taking our weaknesses and doing a great work, so He can exchange them, for His powerful strength. Let’s look at it this way…how can God give us strength, if we are already strengthened in ourselves? The only way we are going to be able to experience an eternal or ongoing strength that can only come from God, is to allow Him to work through our weaknesses, so He can free us from them and replace the emptiness, with a greater strength that can allow us to stand, even during the fiercest storms of life. Instead of allowing worry, doubt, or fear to enter our lives; we should look at our circumstances and rejoice because a great and mighty God, is beginning to do a powerful work within our lives. Wow…what a God! Do we realize that when we don’t take delight in these moments; then we are allowing Satan to see…through our actions; that he is succeeding, at what he longs to accomplish in our lives? Fighting a battle of weakness is never easy but when we have the right perspective in mind and are focused on the purpose behind the affliction; then with God’s help, we can win and overcome these battles in our lives, while we allow God to exchange our weaknesses, for His great and mighty strength!
