Good morning everyone, I hope you all have a wonderful day today. 2Co 12:1-13:14 The Scriptures 1998+ (1) To boast, indeed, is useless for me, for I shall go on to visions and revelations of יהוה. (2) I know a man in Messiah who fourteen years ago – whether in the body I do not know, or whether out of the body I do not know, Elohim knows – such a one was caught up to the third heaven. (3) And I know such a man – whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, Elohim knows – (4) that he was caught up into Paradise and heard unspeakable words, which it is not right for a man to speak. (5) Of such a one I shall boast, but of myself I shall not boast, except in my weaknesses. (6) For if I shall wish to boast, I shall not be a fool, for I shall speak the truth. But I refrain, lest anyone should think more of me than what he sees in me, or hears of me. (7) And to keep me from exalting myself because of the exceeding greatness of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to hit me, to keep me from exalting myself. (8) Concerning this I pleaded with the Master three times to take it away from me. (9) And He said to me, “My favor is sufficient for you, for My power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, then, I shall rather boast in my weaknesses, so that the power of Messiah rests on me. (10) Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in insults, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for the sake of Messiah. For when I am weak, then I am strong. (11) I have become a fool – you have compelled me. For I should have been commended by you, for in no respect was I behind the most eminent emissaries, though I am a nobody. (12) Indeed, the signs of an emissary were wrought among you with all endurance, in signs and wonders and powers. (13) For what is there in which you were inferior to other assemblies, except that I myself was not a burden to you? Forgive me this wrong! (14) See, I am ready to come to you for the third time. And I shall not be a burden to you, for I do not seek yours, but you. For the children should not lay up for the parents, but the parents for the children. (15) And I shall most gladly spend and be spent for your lives. If I love you more and more, am I to be loved less? (16) But be it so, I did not burden you. But being crafty, did I catch you with guile? (17) Did I take advantage of you by any of those whom I sent to you? (18) I urged Titus, and sent our brother with him. Did Titus take advantage of you? Did we not walk in the same spirit – not in the same steps? (19) Again, do you think that we defend ourselves to you? We speak before Elohim in Messiah. But all this, beloved, is for your up building. (20) For I fear lest, when I come, I do not find you such as I wish, and I be found by you such as you do not wish – lest there be strife, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, slander, gossip, puffing’s up, unrests, (21) and lest, when I come again, my Elohim should humble me among you, and I shall mourn for many who have sinned before and have not repented of the uncleanness, and whoring, and indecency which they have practiced. (13:1) This is the third time I am coming to you. “By the mouth of two or three witnesses every word shall be established.”1 Footnote: 1Dt. 19:15. (2) I have previously said, and I say beforehand, as being present the second time, and now being absent I write to those who have sinned before, and to all the rest, that if I come again I shall not spare, (3) since you are seeking for proof of Messiah speaking in me, who is not weak toward you, but mighty in you. (4) For though He was impaled in weakness, yet He lives by the power of Elohim. For we also are weak in Him, but we shall live with Him by the power of Elohim toward you. (5) Examine yourselves whether you are in the belief – prove yourselves. Or do you not know yourselves, that יהושע Messiah is in you, 1 unless you are disapproved. Footnote: 1Rom. 8:10, Gal. 2:20, Eph. 3:17, Col. 1:27, 1 John 4:4. (6) And I trust that you shall know that we are not disapproved. (7) And we pray to Elohim that you do no evil at all – not that we should appear approved, but that you should do what is right, even though we should appear unapproved. (8) For we have no power at all against the truth, but for the truth. (9) For we rejoice when we are weak and you are strong. And this also we pray for: your perfection.1 Footnote: 1Mt. 5:48. (10) For this reason I write this in my absence, so that, being present I should not use sharpness, according to the authority which the Master has given me for up building and not for overthrowing. (11) For the rest, brothers, rejoice. Be made perfect, 1 be encouraged, be of one mind, live in peace. And the Elohim of love and peace shall be with you. Footnote: 1See v. 9, Mt. 5:48. (12) Greet one another with a set-apart kiss. (13) All the set-apart ones greet you. (14) The favor of the Master יהושע Messiah, and the love of Elohim, and the fellowship of the Set-apart Spirit be with all of you. Amen. Gal 1:1-2:21 The Scriptures 1998+ (1) Sha’ul, an emissary – not from men, nor by a man, but by יהושע Messiah and Elohim the Father who raised Him from the dead – (2) and all the brothers who are with me, to the assemblies of Galatia: (3) Favor to you and peace from Elohim the Father and our Master יהושע Messiah, (4) who gave Himself for our sins, to deliver us out of this present wicked age, according to the desire of our Elohim and Father, (5) to whom be the praise forever and ever. Amen. (6) I marvel that you are so readily turning away from Him who called you in the favor of Messiah, to a different ‘Good News,’1 Footnote: 12 Cor. 11:4. (7) which is not another, only there are some who are troubling you and wishing to pervert the Good News of Messiah. (8) However, even if we, or a messenger out of heaven, bring a ‘Good News’ to you beside what we announced to you, let him be accursed. (9) As we have said before, and now I say again, if anyone brings a ‘Good News’ to you beside what you have received, let him be accursed. (10) For do I now persuade men, or Elohim? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I should not be a servant of Messiah. (11) And I make known to you, brothers, that the Good News announced by me is not according to man. (12) For I did not receive it from man, nor was I taught it, but through a revelation of יהושע Messiah. (13) For you have heard of my former way of life in Yehudaism, how intensely I persecuted the assembly of Elohim, and ravaged it. (14) And I progressed in Yehudaism beyond many of my age in my race, being more exceedingly ardent for the traditions of my fathers. (15) But when it pleased Elohim, who separated me from my mother’s womb and called me by His favor, (16) to reveal His Son in me, that I might bring Him, the Good News, to the gentiles, I did not immediately consult with flesh and blood, (17) neither did I go up to Yerushalayim, to those who were emissaries before me. But I went to Arabia, and returned again to Damascus. (18) Then after three years I went up to Yerushalayim to learn from Kĕpha, and remained with him for fifteen days. (19) And I saw no other of the emissaries except Yaʽaqoḇ, the brother of the Master. (20) And what I write to you, see, before Elohim, I do not lie. (21) Then I went into the districts of Syria and of Kilikia. (22) And I was still not known by sight to the assemblies of Yehuda which were in Messiah, (23) but they were hearing only that, “The one who once persecuted us now brings as Good News the belief which he once ravaged.” (24) So they were esteeming Elohim in me. (2:1) Then after fourteen years I again went up to Yerushalayim, with Barnabah, taking Titus along too. (2) And I went up by revelation, and laid before them that Good News which I proclaim among the gentiles, but separately to those who were esteemed, lest somehow I run, or had run, in vain. (3) But not even Titus who was with me, though a Greek, was compelled to be circumcised. (4) But as for the false brothers, sneakingly brought in, who sneaked in to spy out our freedom which we have in Messiah יהושע in order to enslave us, (5) to these we did not yield in subjection, not even for an hour, so that the truth of the Good News remains with you. (6) But from those who were esteemed to be whatever – what they were, it makes no difference to me, Elohim shows no partiality – for those who were esteemed contributed naught to me. (7) But on the contrary, when they saw that the Good News to the uncircumcised had been entrusted to me, even as Kĕpha to the circumcised – (8) for He who worked in Kĕpha to make him an emissary to the circumcised also worked in me for the gentiles. (9) So when Yaʽaqoḇ, Kĕpha, and Yohanan, who seemed to be supports, came to know the favor that had been given to me, they gave me and Barnabah the right hand of fellowship, in order that we go to the gentiles and they to the circumcised, (10) only that we might remember the poor, which I myself was eager to do. (11) And when Kĕpha had come to Antioch, I withstood him to his face, because he was at fault. (12) For before some came from Yaʽaqoḇ, he was eating with the gentiles, but when they came, he began to withdraw and separate himself, in fear of those of the circumcision. (13) And the rest of the Yehudim joined him in hypocrisy, so that even Barnabah was led away by their hypocrisy. (14) But when I saw that they are not walking straight according to the truth of the Good News, I said to Kĕpha before them all, “If you, being a Yehudite, live as a gentile and not as the Yehudim, why do you compel gentiles to live as Yehudim? (15) “We, Yehudim by nature, and not of the gentiles, sinners, (16) knowing that a man is not declared right by works of Torah, but through belief in יהושע Messiah, even we have believed in Messiah יהושע, in order to be declared right by belief in Messiah and not by works of Torah, because by works of Torah no flesh shall be declared right. (17) “And if, while seeking to be declared right by Messiah, we ourselves also are found sinners, is Messiah then a servant of sin? Let it not be! (18) “For if I rebuild what I once overthrew, I establish myself a transgressor. (19) “For through Torah I died to Torah,1 in order to live to Elohim. Footnote: 1See Rom. 7. (20) “I have been impaled with Messiah, and I no longer live, but Messiah lives in me.1 And that which I now live in the flesh I live by belief in the Son of Elohim, who loved me and gave Himself for me. Footnote: 1Rom. 8:10, 2 Cor. 6:16, 2 Cor. 13:5, Eph. 3:17, Col. 1:27, 1 John 4:4. (21) “I do not set aside the favor of Elohim, for if righteousness is through Torah, then Messiah died for naught.” Mat 6:9-13 Our Father who is in the heavens, let Your Name be set-apart, let Your Kingdom come, let Your desire be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us. And lead us away from temptation, and deliver us from the wicked one – because Yours is the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory, Forever. Amen. Num 6:22-27 YHWH bless you and guard you; YHWH make His face shine upon you, and show favor to you; YHWH lift up His face upon you, and give you peace. Bradley T.
