Good morning everyone, I just recieved a summons to jury duty starting Nov.25 and Im furious because no#1 my sister and I were planning to leave to spent Thanksgiving with my other sister in PA on the 25th. No#2 is and please dont get me wrong but I only moved back to Niagara Falls 17mos. ago and only one family member I know was ever summoned to jury duty and wasnt picked. After being gone 32yrs. I get picked over people who lived here all their lives, doesnt make sense! This happened to me when I first moved to Cincinnati, just had my first son and hadnt driven there because its so big I just drove the side streets until I got to know how to get around. Plus my ex and his family was never been called for juror duty and I ask you is that fair? So now I start calling in on Nov. 22 to see if I go downtown or to Lockport and cant make any plans until I know if Im picked or not which may stop me from going to my sisters for Thanksgiving, who schedules a trial three days before a holiday?? Thanks everyone for letting me vent !!!!!! Im ok now but wont be when the 22nd comes around.. On a better note I hope you all have a great weekend!!
