Good morning everyone......Just a short note about someone gone for a while now. On this day 42 years ago, my dad passed in a car accident. Forty two years is a long time, even for a dog. I think of him often, not everyday. Time passed and life have a way of making everyday matters seem more important now. It is really not the case. We all move on in one way or another. Sometimes though, it is always nice to remember those from our past. The people who affected and changed our lives. My dads passing certainly did both of those. You would think that forty two years would make this easy to write. No, it does not. All those what ifs and what could have been always enter my mind on this day. Those questions used to fill my head. They dont anymore. Today I try to live each day the right way; With respect for others as well as myself. That is how he lived. One of many lessons taught by example that were finally learned years later. Whoever said that Time heals all wounds never lost a father as a kid. So on this day, all these years later, I tip my cap to the old man. With respect, love, and all those lessons learned. Today, yes today, my father is at forefront of my thoughts.Like he should be.....always.
