This is truly a historic storm of 2013. **For our local weather conditions, here is the Qld state forecast for today: Isolated showers and gusty thunderstorms developing over areas southwest of about Normanton to St George. Isolated showers over the northeastern Peninsula district. Possible isolated light showers near the east tropics and central coasts, mostly during the morning. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. A warm day through southern and western districts with light to moderate northwest to northeasterly winds, fresh and gusty in the west ahead of a southerly change extending from the west late in the day. Light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds elsewhere, fresh at times near the east tropical coast.
