Good morning, everyone. Went out for tapas last night at the Gata Mala. Got escalibada with goat cheese, patatas bravas, and Manchego cheese with sun-dried tomatoes. They make a nice leek and zucchini quiche but they were all out of it. Wifey had, in addition, some spicy chorizo. With some wine it all came to under €40. The problem with the Gata Mala is that its so popular and gets so crowded that you have to go early to get a seat. Its run by a lesbian couple, Trini and Luci. who are the archetype of the butch-femme roles. Theyre straight-friendly, of course, but the place gets a lot of lesbians as well as straights. Anyway, Remei was very pleased with her birthday dinner.
