Good morning everyone and my hopes for today are that we can move on from the battle between smokers and non smokers. This is obviously a very passionate subject, I know that, I understand that and yes, I understand both sides. But how ridiculous some of the comments have gotten, how sad when people post photos of a ship where people lost their lives and referenced it to smoking………..so sad, so unnecessary. This subject has for sure brought out a some people who, I truly believe are getting some kind of high off others outrage. These few who post, usually anonymously, have the prime motive of upsetting other readers. These people post these comments using a false screen name because the writer doesnt want people to know who they are and that anonymity gives them a Superman/Superwoman-style strength. Now don’t get me wrong please stop posting the criticisms of Carnival or myself but here is one last fact on smoking. I asked three ships yesterday, three different classes of ship, Miracle, Conquest and Fantasy if they had received any negative comments about smoking from non-smokers……………..there were a total of 0 negative comments between the three ships. I also asked them if any smokers had complained about the non-smokers………….and of course the answer was “no” from all three vessels. So my point is that on the ships, when smokers and nonsmokers are together at dinner, at a show, having fun that they are all the same, Carnival guests enjoying the most brilliantly affordable fun vacation in the world. But here, on the interweb, it’s a different story and that in my humble opinion, is a shame. Have a brilliant day everyone, enjoy, be happy and come sail away with us soon. Cheers
