.Good morning everyone, here is the weather report at 7:50am here on the Carnival Miracle Vessel Course 169 Speed 19 knots Wind 2o knots from the East Temperature 14 degrees Celsius – 57 degrees Farenthingy Sky Cloudy Chance of Rain 70% There were some tired people at the show last night after two exhilarating days in Alaska exploring the last frontier. Up until last cruise we had moved our clocks back one hour to Alaskan time on day 2 and forward and back to Pacific time tonight ( Sunday) before going to bed. However this week I asked the Captain if we could change the hour last night ( Saturday) and he agreed so now we are back on Pacific time. I asked for this because tonight is elegant night and I found that lots of people were going to bed earlier because of that extra hour and it was harming attendance at the later show and across the bars and lounges. It was I think also affecting revenue in the casino and shops. We already had seen that in past cruises with people already tired after two days in Alaska and being outside all day in Tracy Arm Fjord as well that people were going to bed earlier on Saturday night so that extra hour really would not have made a difference. Anyway, we shall see how it goes tonight and I will let you know. Clock changes are not always needed on cruises but sometimes they are necessary for operational reasons and where possible we like to be on the same time as the ports of call because that certainly helps alleviate guests having that moist feeling in the back of their pants as they stand on the pier and watch the ship sail into the sunset.
