Good morning fellow classmates :) I thought I would share with you a quote I wrote last night in a topic of debate with my friend. It was triggered by everything we have been learning lately in class activities, and it was largely influenced by feelings that surfaced through my recent readings. It promotes diversity and understanding to all different realities. As well as argues that each person sets their own goals, and that the path by which they achieve them is for them to decide (empowerment). It also argues that in order for society or its support systems to help empower someone to acheive their goals we must first be ever understanding and empathetic of all environments and the people who exist within them. Note: My friends argument was that there is a right way and a wrong way to grow, a fast way and a slow way to achieve, and that our efforts are what determine the rich from the poor, and the successful from the failures. Her values do strike me as more of the majority/capitalist view of our current society... Anyways here is my quote. There are no real answers, only questions, that each of us may only answer for ourselves I am open to anyones opinion and feedback, whoever cares to share. Thanks :)
