Good morning folks. Motor Neurone Disease is a rapidly progressive fatal disease that has no cure and can affect anyone at anytime.The sufferers brain is unaffected but the muscles do not respond to its signals and therefore waste away.Life expectancy is normally between 2-5 years .In recent years it has claimed the life of ex Celtic legend Jimmy Johnstone, former England manager Don Revie and as weve read recently Fernando Ricksen the former Rangers player has been diagnosed with this terrible disease. Four years ago today my daughters lost their beautiful Mother and my grandchildren lost their adoring Granny and Nonna .Helen was only 56 and was a fit and active person until this tragedy struck. Her fortitude never wavered during this and mercifully her suffering ended after about 6 months.
