Good morning friends domestic violence is serious four women die every day in this country at the hands of their intimate partners, and one in three will be a victim of domestic violence at some times in their lives. Every since the Ray Rice / NFL scandal thrush domestic violence into the national spotlight,We- - they--- me-- you can no longer ignore this is a very real issue here on the Treasure Coast this one statistic hit very close to home in the end of June 2014 when four women from our local area was killed by men that was supposed to love them within a 24 hour spin, last year there were over 2,600 incidents of domestic violence in the try county, at a alarming rate almost 1500 occurred in St Lucie County that is in our own backyard!!!! Fort Pierce and those statistics become even more disturbing when you consider the number of cases that go unreported ....I Matter is an event thats coming soon to Fort Pierce Wednesday October the 29th to bring awareness of domestic violence Its real Im personally inviting you to come take a stance with me against domestic violence
