Feels redundant to say it, but it also feels so good to say it so I will, HARDING IS DOING GREAT! Hes on a 12 hour window today, and at the end of this window they are going to do an x-Ray to make sure everything is okay with his lungs. By the end of the weekend he should be on a 16 hour window :) Earlier this week they did an MRI of Hardings head. They did this because his head circumference is in the 99th percentile and wanted to make sure his brain and skull were developing okay. They found that his skull is basically growing at the rate it should be, but his brain is slightly underdeveloped. This is due to his two open heart surgeries, being on the by-pass machine during those surgeries, being on a ventilator, and his prolonged stay in the hospital. It is what they expected to find and they see this with babies who go through what hes been through all the time, and are not concerned by it. They said the issue will resolve itself as he grows, gets out of the hospital, and gets off the ventilator. They were very encouraged and reassured by how well he is developing with his social and motor skills despite his circumstances. To summarize, Harding is totally fine and his brain needs to catch up with his skull a little bit :) Heres some video of Harding showing you all how well he does with Tummy Time now. Something he has struggled with in the past that he is now a champion of :) To God be the glory.
