Good morning from Paradise. Our soft opening got off to a great start, but in the middle of May we had an unseasonal flood which closed schools in Apia and meant we had to dig up drainage trenches everywhere to get rid of the water. Also, our new generator failed and there was no one on the island licensed to fix it so. So for a whole week, we had the power going on and off. We offered all our guests discounts to compensate and most have been very understanding, but a few have been upset and we can understand their disappointment. So the power is now back up and running and the flood trenches are filled in but these two setbacks have meant that we have come to the agonizing decision to close our beautiful resort for the month of July in order to complete all the remaining drainage and construction tasks. We are not taking any new bookings now till August. We will keep you posted and look forward to welcoming you to Return to Paradise sometime very soon!
